INSTALL.TXT
To install the SoundFX-BLAST sound editor software:
1) Create a directory on your hard disk for the SoundFX-BLAST
software. For example:
MD C:\SFXBLAST
2) Insert the SoundFX-Blast disk(s) into drive A: and copy all
the files to the directory you created on your hard disk.
For example:
COPY A:*.* C:\SFXBLAST
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
About the video drivers:
There are two ways that you can set up the SFXBLAST software
video drivers:
1) The SFXBLAST.COM program will decide which type monitor
your are using and load the appropriate video driver.
This automatic monitor type dectection works for 99% of
the display cards we tested. See the SETUP.BAT file for
the list of known compatible display cards.
OR
2) You can run the SETUP.BAT file to copy the video driver to
a filename of SYNRUN.COM. If SYNRUN.COM is present on the
disk, the software will not try to detect which type of monitor
you are using, it will always try to load the SYNRUN.COM driver.
The SETUP.BAT file will instruct you which arguments to pass
to it, so you should run the SETUP.BAT file without any arguments
first to read the instructions. Then you can run the SETUP.BAT
file with the argument for the video driver to be installed.
For example, if you have a VGA monitor you would type:
SETUP VGA
and the VGARUN.COM video driver is just copied into the
filename SYNRUN.COM.
If you have any trouble getting the software to execute,
you may have the wrong video driver installed, or the
SFXBLAST auto-detect may have chosen the wrong driver for
your system. In any case, run the SETUP.BAT file to try
a different video driver.

Running SoundFX-Blast
To run the SoundFX-BLAST software, at the DOS prompt type:
SFXBLAST
The SFXBLAST.COM, SFXBLAST.EXE and the video driver must be present
on your disk or current path. The SFXBLAST.HLP must also be on the disk
if you want to access the help file in the SoundFX-BLAST sound editor.
See the text file MANUAL1.DOC for more details on the use of the editor.
